Dr. Kon currently conducts research in the Laboratory for Biomechanics and Technological Innovation at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Bologna, Italy. She also is an associate professor of motor sciences at the University of Bologna. Dr. Kon earned her medical degree and completed a residency in orthopaedics and traumatology at the University of Bologna.  In addition to being active in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, she also is a member of the European Orthopaedic Research Society; the International Cartilage Repair Society; the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine; and the European Society of Sports Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy.
