Fred D. Cushner, MD is a Director of the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York City. While an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in knee by training, he has been quite active in research involving bleeding as well as Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Issues.  Dr. Cushner has participated in several Phase 3 trials in addition to serving on the Steering Committee and Data Safety Monitoring Boards for DVT Research.  Dr.  Cushner was a founding member of INATE- Investigators Against Thromboembolism as well as active in the Glory Registry - an International Registry and Research Group studying VTE.
